Alcohol recovery tower is a device used to recover waste alcohol (or mixed liquor containing alcohol) generated in industrial production, and purify it through distillation to reach a usable concentration. It is widely used in industries such as medicine, chemical, food, and light industry. Its core functions can be summarized as follows:
1、 Recycling waste alcohol to achieve resource recycling
In the production processes of pharmaceuticals, chemical synthesis, food processing, etc., alcohol is often used as a solvent, extractant, or disinfectant, which produces a large amount of low concentration waste alcohol (such as ethanol solution containing impurities) after use. The alcohol recovery tower uses distillation condensation process to utilize the boiling point difference between alcohol and other substances (such as water, organic solvents, residues, etc.), heat and vaporize the alcohol components in waste alcohol, cool and liquefy them, purify them to obtain high concentration alcohol (usually recovered to a concentration of over 90%), and reuse them in the production process, greatly reducing the waste of alcohol raw materials and lowering the production cost of enterprises.
2、 Reduce the pressure of environmental protection treatment
If untreated waste alcohol is directly discharged, it not only causes resource loss, but also may face high environmental treatment costs due to the hazardous nature of alcohol (especially mixed liquids containing other pollutants). The alcohol recovery tower reduces the discharge of waste alcohol through purification and recycling, reduces the load and cost of subsequent environmental treatment (such as wastewater treatment and hazardous waste disposal), and meets the requirements of "reduction and resource utilization" in environmental regulations.
3、 Ensure the stability of production processes
In some production processes that have strict requirements for alcohol concentration, such as disinfection of pharmaceutical preparations and solvents for traditional Chinese medicine extraction, the recovered alcohol can be further distilled to adjust the concentration and meet the process standards again, avoiding the impact of unstable alcohol raw material supply or cost fluctuations on production, especially suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises to achieve solvent self-sufficiency.
